Annual Wellness Exam & Vaccinations

Early detection of health problems can allow for prompt treatment. At least once, and in some cases twice per year, your pet should have a complete physical examination. Remember, your pet’s lifespan is shorter than ours and their health can change significantly over a 12-month period.

One of the most effective ways of protecting your pet’s health is to provide immunization against various common and sometimes deadly diseases.

Our vaccine recommendations are tailored to each individual patient. Factors such as age, genetic predisposition and environmental factors are important to determine the risk for each disease for which vaccines are available.

Complete In-House Diagnostic Laboratory Facilities

Our extensive laboratory services provide information that is critical to the sick or injured pet. Our lab has the latest in veterinary technology allowing animals to receive appropriate treatment in a timely manner. We also use a centralized reference Serviceslaboratory for extensive diagnostic testing.

Surgical Procedures

Our doctors have many years of experience in all types of surgery. Our anesthesia monitoring equipment continuously evaluates all critical cardiovascular and respiratory parameters to make surgical procedures as safe as possible.

Cold Laser Therapy

We have the latest in technology, Class IV Companion CTX Cold Laser.  Laser Therapy is effective in treating acute pain, chronic conditions, and post-operative pain. Treatment is non-invasive, safe, painless and fast.

Routine Dental Cleaning

Our clients have become aware of the fact that it’s just as important to have their pets’ teeth examined and cleaned on a regular basis as it is to protect their own teeth and gums. Our services include cleaning, polishing, tooth extraction, and oral surgery. In addition to preventing bad breath and periodontal disease it can also prevent infection from spreading through the blood stream to your pet’s liver, kidneys, and heart. This bacterial shower can lead to permanent organ damage affecting your pet’s overall health.

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. In addition to the prescription provided, we strive to educate clients on the proper use and administration of medications, including their benefits and potential side-effects

Digital Radiology

We have a state-of-the-art x-ray machine that produces excellent quality radiographs (X-rays). Radiographs are extremely helpful for diagnosing and monitoring many medical and surgical problems.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have veterinarians and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If you are ever unsure of the urgency of the situation, please call and our staff will help you assess the situation and receive prompt treatment. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

For after hours emergencies there are a number of animal emergency hospitals in the area who are equipped and fully staffed through the night to handle any emergencies outside of our normal hours.

Special Diets & Nutritional Counseling

A sound diet is vital to the health of your pet at any age. Let’s discuss what your pet needs – including dietary requirements essential for proper weight maintenance, performance, growth, and as an aid in the treatment of some diseases at every stage.

Geriatric Care

Your pet is considered to be a senior at eight to 10 years of age. At this time the doctors may recommend a geriatric profile that includes complete comprehensive blood work, and a complete urinalysis. This is important for a number of reasons. Things can start to change internally at eight or older, and the geriatric profile will reveal these changes. We can often correct or improve these changes just through dietary changes.

Pet ID Micro-Chipping

A microchip is a tiny electronic device, about the size and shape of a grain of rice. It is implanted beneath a pet’s skin between the shoulder blades, and stays there for the pet’s entire life. This procedure can be done with a local anesthetic or during surgery or other anesthetic procedures.

Each microchip has a unique number. This number, along with information about the owner and pet, are added to a national pet registry. Most veterinary hospitals and animal shelters have electronic scanners for detecting and reading these implanted microchips. If a lost pet is found and a microchip is scanned the registry is called and the owner can be contacted.

Pet Boarding

We have the capacity to house nearly 75 pets. Dogs have supervised exercise four times a day in one of our spacious yard areas. Our staff is dedicated to making your pet’s stay as enjoyable as possible.

Acupuncture is the treatment of conditions or symptoms by the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body, in order to produce a response. The ancient Chinese discovered acupuncture points for both humans and animals, and these points were found to be connected with each other and various internal organs via meridians or channels. We provide this treatment in cases where it can enhance recovery and compliment other treatment methods.
